How Much Does a Website Cost in Nepal? What Really Affects the Price

One of the first questions we hear is, "How much does a website cost in Nepal?" The honest answer is that it depends on what you need. Two websites that look similar on the surface can have very different amounts of work behind them.

The Main Factors That Affect Website Cost

• Type of website: A simple company profile costs less than a news portal, a booking system, or an online store.
• Custom design or template: A fully custom design takes more design and development time.
• Number of pages and sections: More pages, categories, and content types mean more work.
• Admin panel: A proper content management panel lets you edit everything yourself, and it takes planning to build well.
• Special features: Online booking, payments, user accounts, multi-language support, and integrations add complexity.
• Content and media: Writing, photography, and translation can be part of the project.
• Domain, hosting, and maintenance: These are recurring costs separate from development.

Why the Cheapest Quote Can Cost More Later

A very low price often means a reused template, no admin panel, weak security, or no support after launch. Fixing these problems later usually costs more than building it properly the first time.

How to Compare Quotes

• Ask for a written scope listing every page and feature.
• Check what is included: SEO setup, mobile design, training, and support.
• Ask about hosting, domain renewal, and yearly maintenance.
• Confirm delivery time and the number of revisions.

Plan Your Budget Around Business Goals

Start with what the website must achieve: more enquiries, online bookings, admissions, or sales. A clear goal helps a developer recommend the right features instead of padding the project.
